Sorido Bay Resort
Kri Island’s premium resort, directly opposite Cape Kri, where a single dive holds more fish species than almost anywhere else on the planet. Sister property to Kri Eco Resort with higher comfort standards and the same dive access.
Sorido Bay Resort sits on Kri Island in Raja Ampat’s Dampier Strait, on the shore directly facing Cape Kri. In 2006, marine biologist Dr. Gerald Allen counted 374 fish species in a single dive at Cape Kri — a world record for reef fish diversity that has held since. The resort is metres from the site.

Sorido Bay is part of the same company as Kri Eco Resort, which is on the opposite side of the island. The dive programme, sites, and marine park access are the same. The accommodation and facilities are not: Sorido Bay is the more comfortable option, with higher-spec rooms and a more polished guest experience. Divers who want the Cape Kri location without the rustic character of Kri Eco Resort are the target guest here.
The dive programme runs three guided boat dives plus one dusk or night dive per day (except Friday evenings and Saturday daytime), plus unlimited unguided jetty diving at the house reef. Most sites in the Dampier Strait involve some current; intermediate to advanced divers get the most from the programme. The manta season runs roughly October through March.
Package options run from 7 to 21 nights with scheduled Sunday transfers and, for 10 and 17-night stays, Thursday arrival options. The annual Raja Ampat Marine Park fee (IDR 1,000,000 per person) is payable on arrival. We have a direct relationship with the resort and can advise on comparing Sorido Bay against Kri Eco Resort or the other properties we work with in the area.
