Papua Paradise Eco Resort
An overwater eco-resort on uninhabited Birie Island in central Raja Ampat, with a house reef holding mandarin fish, wobbegong sharks, bamboo sharks, and occasional dugong sightings. Island transfers are priced separately at USD 196 per adult.
Papua Paradise Eco Resort occupies a stretch of uninhabited Birie Island, built from low-impact materials with an eco-centric approach that extends from the architecture into the kitchen and the dive programme. There are no other guests beyond those at the resort; the island itself is otherwise empty.

The house reef is particularly productive: mandarin fish, manta rays, wobbegong sharks, bamboo sharks, reef sharks, and occasional dugong have all been recorded here. The dive programme runs up to 4 dives per day, with Nitrox included. Snorkelling-only packages are available for non-diving companions. The surrounding Raja Ampat sites have the same character as Kri and the Dampier Strait properties: high fish density, current-driven drift diving, best for intermediate to advanced divers.
The annual Raja Ampat Marine Park fee (IDR 1,000,000 per person) applies separately. Island transfers cost USD 196 per adult return and are not bundled into the package price. If you are comparing this resort against Kri-island properties or Papua Explorers, ask us — position, dive character, and accessibility vary meaningfully across the Raja Ampat options we work with.
