Getting to Maratua Seaview Resort
Maratua Seaview Resort is located on the south side of Maratua Island. You can reach this resort via Raja Alam International Airport, also known as Kalimarau Airport in Tanjung Redeb, Berau regency, East Kalimantan; or via Juwata International Airport in Tarakan, North Kalimantan.
Once you arrive at either airport, the resort will take care of you and transfer you to the jetty and then from the jetty, transfer you by boat to the resort.
Although there are no fixed schedule to follow, plan to arrive Tanjung Redeb or Tarakan early as the boat journey takes about 3 hours.
Arriving via Tanjung Redeb
Arrive Raja Alam International Airport Popular routes to Tanjung Redeb are via Balikpapan (BPN-BEJ), Surabaya (SUB-BEJ), Bali (DPS-BEJ) and Makassar (UPG-BEJ).

Land Transfer to Tanjung Redeb Jetty The journey is about 9½ km (6 mi.) and takes 20 minutes from airport to jetty.
Boat Transfer to Maratua Seaview Resort The journey from jetty to the resort will take 3 hours, with the first 90 minutes along the Kelai River and another 90 minutes from the river mouth to Maratua Island.
Arriving via Tarakan
A charter boat from Tarakan to Maratua is needed, so this route is recommended for large groups to reduce the cost of charter boat for each person.
Arrive Juwata International Airport Popular routes to Tarakan are via Jakarta (CGK-TRK), Surabaya (SUB-TRK) and Makassar (UPG-TRK).
We expect the route from Tawau (TWU-TRK), Malaysia to resume service again in late 2023. But there are ferry services available.

Although there are no fixed schedule to follow, plan to take a later flight preferably after 4 p.m., out of Tanjung Redeb as the boat journey takes about 3 hours.
Plan to stay overnight at Tanjung Redeb before flying early next morning.
